My Story
I have focused my artistic journey towards bringing out mystiques of ancient Indian culture based on her study of Vedic symbols and rituals. My fascination of Indian philosophy and architecture inspired me to reveal the teachings of the Upanishads through my paintings.
My repertoire also features picturesque landscapes and life of local natives that I observed in my various travels. I love to bring them to life with soothing colours and bold compositions.
“I love to transport my viewers to a distinct era or geography that they would have hardly experienced before and so I welcome them each time to join me on this visual journey.”
I earned my GD Arts (Commercial) from Gujarat and completed a one year course in furniture design at National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad.
In my initial years I trained hundreds of students for State drawing grade exams and conducted art and craft classes as a Camlin Art centre in north Mumbai.
Till date I have exhibited my paintings twice at Jehangir Art Gallery at Mumbai. I have also had several joint and group shows in Mumbai and my work has also been selected to art shows at Artist Centre, Nehru Art Gallery, The Art Society of India and also an internet art gallery.
My works are collected by Indian and foreign art collectors.
