Siddhartha wandered around the neighborhood of “URUVELA” on the bank of the rivers. There he sat under ” AJAPALA’ Banyan tree. This tree was considered as the abode of GOD. The lady, SUJATA, daughter of a nobleman of Uruvela prayed there to fulfill her wish. Her prayer was answered. So on the full moon day of “VAISHAKHA” month, she came to the banyan tree to fulfill her vow, with a pot of milk-rice. She saw the “BODHISATVA” (Siddhartha) settled there Sujata thought that her God had descended from his above to accept her offering and offered the pot of milk-rice to the ‘Bodhisattva’.
